Jack: Oh!really you mean it? Do you mean to say I can't?
Jill: No I don't mean to say you can't. But I do say you won't.
Jack:So you are basically telling me I can't
Jill: You never listen nor understand me. I did not say you can't, I said you won't.
Jack: If that is what you think so be it. I can't so I won't. You can do what you want.
Jill: See, this is what I meant.

Did Jack understand her? Or did Jill misunderstand him?
